For parents and overweight or obese children trying to survive a hazy, hot and humid summer, I’ve got a rescue remedy from my bag of tricks.

I serve up fresh watermelon popsicles. And, so can you. Here’s the recipe for the icy treat. Take one fresh seedless watermelon. Have an ice cube tray and popsicle sticks you can pick up from the craft store at the ready. Scoop heaping tablespoons of watermelon out of the rind and smoosh into an ice cube tray until all the cube holes are filled. Spear each cube with a popsicle stick. Freeze solid. When ready for an all natural, icy cold, energizing snack on a hot day, or for a frozen dessert after dinner that your kids will love, pop out the watermelon ice.

By the way, my book Pedia Trim & Fit: Reclaiming Overweight Children is loaded with help for parents on ways to interpret self-control and suggestions that are as easy as the watermelon ice.

As a cool interlude I took a tray to Bill Gow and the Internet marketing staff of Studio 1ne, the experts on self promotion of your Web site. Studio 1ne created my Internet marketing newsletter, along with the Pedia Trim & Fit Web site and a blog that provides Mattie Mola diet coaching help and hints for parents concerned about their obese children.
