Everyday amusements contribute to the obese child’s dilemma.  According to a study from Georgia State University in Atlanta, people who listen to music while eating consume 716 calories. People who eat unaccompanied by melodies from a CD, iPod, and so forth, consumed 100 fewer calories. The study indicates that listening to music keeps you at the table an extra 11 minutes on average. While you’re lingering, you wind up eating more.

Don’t think the extra 100 calories matter much? If you ate 100 extra calories each day, in a year you and your overweight or obese child could gain an additional 10 unwanted pounds.
