Adults and obese chldren face 226 food-related decisions every day according to a recent Cornell University study.

At the NJ International Diet Coaching Center, Nutritionist Diet Coach Mattie Mola states, “Children face the same dizzying array of food-related decisions. Overweight, obese children and adolescents make daily choices between the big frozen drink or the bigger size. They wonder if they should eat the whole enchilada or the whole plate of enchiladas. They ask for a “list of all energy drinks” because they are tired most of the time. They wonder if they are making a good choice or a bad choice. If it’s a bad choice, then they conclude that losing weight is too hard to do.”

What are the healthy food facts? How much stress anxiety can a person bear before overweight presents as a symptom?

It’s certain ways of thinking that make it difficult for those coping with overweight and childhood obesity to follow a diet and maintain weight loss. Certain ways of thinking undermine willpower and set off sabotaging choices, especially for the obese child.
