Research supports for normal, overweight or obese children having a variety of choices - such as a buffet - can cause overeating.
For many families with overweight and obese youth it can be helpful to have two or three nutritionally dense, balanced breakfasts planned for the week and alternate them daily. By doing so a parent can avoid some of the morning rush tension, alleviate boredom and ensure that children, adolescents (and parents!) have appropriate brain fuel.
